Bar Mitzvah ideas.

We've got lots of suggestions to help you design a bar or bat mitzvah reception that'll have a distinctive flair. A celebration stamped with your unique style. Check out the ideas below.

Gotta Dance.
One of the most effective ways of involving all of your guests in the festivities of the day is by having dancers at your bar/bat mitzvah. We have an extremely impressive team called the Club M&M Bar Mitzvah Dancers who are quite entertaining to watch; you'll swear at times they're defying gravity. Besides wowing your guests with high-energy choreographed numbers, these talented performers will assist with games, help with music requests and will also teach you the latest dance steps. They'll be a part of the action throughout the course of your reception, and they'll keep your event well-paced and smoothly flowing. We recommend having two dancers for every thirty kids.

Good spirits for everyone.
The cocktail hour is a wonderful time to mingle with friends, but young people have lots of energy and tend to get antsy during this portion of the celebration. We've found that a terrific way to make everyone happy is to keep the younger folks entertained with fun activities while the adults socialize, and we've got lots of ideas to offer. How about a magician or a caricaturist? Video games are always a big hit, too. If you’re into sports, double-shot basketball, air-hockey and ping-pong are way cool. If you’re into arts & crafts, we have face painters, spin-art frisbee and "famous faces" photos that'll make it look as though you rubbed elbows with movie stars at your party. And if you really wanna wow ‘em, how about a mini circus, complete with acrobats, animals and clowns? Dream it up, and we can make just about anything happen.

Tons of tunes.
One of the challenges of creating a successful bar/bat mitzvah reception is keeping guests of all ages interested in the musical selection. That's why we have one of the largest music collections in the country. It includes everything from the big band sounds of the 40s, to classic horas, to today’s radio hits and dance grooves. Feel free to go through our playlist and choose specific songs you’d like to hear, or simply tell us the types of music you like and we’ll take it from there. We'll work very closely with you to develop song choices that are perfectly suited to your guest list. And if there’s something you’d like to hear that you don’t see in our collection, that’s no problem; if we don't have it, we'll find it. Good variety will keep everyone on the dance floor, regardless of age.

Planning made easy.
We realize how valuable your time is and we want to make things as convenient as possible for you as you plan your bar/bat mitzvah. So, we now offer in-home initial consultations. Simply give us a call to schedule an appointment and we'll come to you to discuss ideas for your upcoming celebration. It's that easy.

Fun & Games.
Snowball Dance. This starts with one couple dancing in the center of the floor with all other guests surrounding them. After 15 seconds the DJ says "Snowball" and each person finds a new partner, adding to the amount of dancing couples. This process continues until the dance floor is filled.

Limbo. This game involves a bamboo "limbo" pole. Two people hold the pole as the guests go under. The stick is continuously lowered, making it more difficult to go under. Touch the stick or fall on the ground and you're out of the game.

Mummy Wrap. Two teams compete against each other to see who can completely wrap the other in toilet paper. A prize is given to the most original wrap or to the worst wrap.

Musical Chairs. Contestants bring their chairs to the dance floor placing them back to back in a singe row, minus one chair. Music begins, people dance around the chairs, and when the music stops, everyone tries to sit in a chair. Each time the music is started, one chair is removed. The last one with a seat wins.

Freeze Dance. First the music begins, and everyone dances. When the music stops, everyone freezes. The DJ then attempts to make the contestants laugh. Last one left that does not laugh or move, wins.

Music Trivia. Using the game show concept, this game involves two teams that compete against each other to correctly answer trivia questions for points.

Lip Sync. Contestants pretend to sing along to their favorite songs. The most effective and dramatic players win.

Hip Hop Potato. This is an updated version of the classic "Hot Potato" game.

Pin Head. The object of this game is for players to attach as many clothespins to their bodies as possible in the time allowed.

Coke and Pepsi. Players line up on each side of the dance floor. One team is "Pepsi" and the other team is "Coke." When the DJ says "Pepsi," the Pepsi team runs over to the Coke side and sits down on their partners’ knees. The last pair to do this is eliminated. After each round players return to the original status. If the DJ says "Seven Up," then the partners meet in the middle, turn and lock arms.

Conga Line. Traditional favorite festive music is played, at which time everyone is asked to form a line directly behind the guest of honor and dance around the room. Some music examples are "Party Train," "Conga," and "Hot Hot Hot."

The Locomotion. Basically the same as the conga line, using the song "Locomotion."

Dance Contest. The DJ plays a dance mix while a pre-selected judge picks couples or individuals to compete in a "dance-off."

Shoe Dance. Everyone takes one shoe off. All shoes are placed in a pile on the dance floor. Participants then go to the pile and select one shoe each. After this has been done the person then finds the owner of the shoe and the two of them dance to a slow song.
